17:30 - 19:30

19:30 - 21:30

On Sundays, during the morning service, children of different ages (between 3 and 13) have the possibility to attend a children's service. The focus is on children's worship, bible teaching, doing handicrafts and games. The focal points differ in intensity and durance according to the respective ages. Teaching the gospel plays the major role, but the staff members also bring in their very own faith experiences in order to foster, encourage, strengthen and comfort the kids espeicially in regards to the experiences of their everyday lives. Through this, the children's service lays further foundations for the faith in Jesus in addition to the parent's daily companionship.

After the morning service and the following meal offers in the cafe, the kids will be supervised for approx. 1.5 hours after the service ends. They have the possibility to play, romp around, draw or do other handicrafts. During this time, parents can drink and eat and talk to each other.

On Tuesdays from 5.30 PM to 7.30 PM there is a home group for teens of the age of 13 to 19, they meet in the Herrenstraße 10. Here, the teenagers learn to worship God, study His word and exchange prayer requests. Teaching God's word is playing the major role.

Each Friday from 6 PM, the 'God fearing youth crew' (the name of the teen's group) is taking place in the Herrenstraße 8. God, because it is about Him and He is our creator and redeemer. Fearing, because we want to live in awe and respect before Him. Crew, because we stick together and want to get to know Jesus together. A typical Friday consists of shared diner (the cooking is done by the teens), time to get to know each other, worship a 'youth' sermon, prayer, tabletop soccer and relaxing etc.

Other things we do? Retreats, hikes, concerts, parties and youth services. Our heart beats for bringing the gospel to teenagers from Hannover and the surrounding areas.

'Rooted and built up in him [Jesus], strengthened in the faith as you were taught...' Colossians 2:7

To be rooted in Jesus is the goal and content of the weekly young adults' meeting, called 'roots'. Each Friday, young adults of age 19 and older meet at 6 PM in the premises of the church (the entry is Herrenstraße 10). The evening starts with a shared meal, having time to get to know each other and to build friendships. The focus is on the encounter with Jesus in studying the bible, worship and prayer.

The women meet every 4th Saturday of the month from 9.30 AM to 12.00 PM in the café of the church. After a diversified breakfast buffet and relaxed conversations they gather for a time of worship with a following devotion.

MuKi stands for Mother-Child-Group (Mutter-Kind-Gruppe). Mothers with their children up to the age of kindergarden meet every Friday from 9.00 AM tp 11.30 AM in the Cafe of the church. The children play and get to know each other while the mothers have a talk over a cup of coffee and pray together for personal concerns.

The men meet every 2nd Saturday of the month from 9.30 AM to 12.00 PM in the café of the church. After a diversified breakfast buffet and relaxed conversation they gather for a time of worship with a following devotion.

'Therefore, brethren, seek out from among you seven men of good reputation, full of the Holy Spirit and wisdom, whom we may appoint over this business'  Acts 6:3

In the book of Acts we can see that already the first christians chose men from their midst to do practical ministries, in order for the church leaders being able to concentrate on their actual responsibilities. Of course, as ushers, having a good reputation and being full of the Holy Spirit and wisdom, is a big challenge. Nonetheless, we are glad to in the church of Jesus. We place seats, take care of practical things before, during and after services and other events. We serve the church with open eyes, open ears and ready hands. Though the ministry is of practical nature, we also serve in prayer. And from experience, we can assure that Jesus always equips, motivates and presents the servers.

Therer are four teams of ushers who serve the church on Sundays or other events in rotation. We'd be happy should someone be willing to strengthen us. You are needed. If you are interested in doing so, please speak to Dirk Gerz, who is the leader of the usher ministry.
